Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time. Even when we have to brave the elements to make it out, we know it is worth it. We had a whopping 12 teams in the house tonight which was a pleasant surprise. Now some of those squads weren’t able to stick around through the end, but we are glad they played while they could. Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw a torch for your art bonus. The game started with a ton of scoring and a ton of laughs as well. It was awesome to see so many new faces, but one of our most seasoned squads, Team AJ , sat atop the leaderboard at the half. In the second half we had a lot more of all that good stuff from the first. And in fact, we had the same squad on top as we went into the final with BBT in second and I Don’t Know in third. Stop me if you heard this joke before. But our final saw many teams nail the right answer, so we needed somebody to wager boldly in order to win and the boldest on this night was… Tea...
Another awesome Tuesday at Touchdown. Every week is a great time and a great game. This time, we had 8 teams battling it out for our trophy. Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw a blizzard for your art bonus. We kicked off the game with a ton of points being scored but every team kept pace with our leaders, Team Venom . In the second, we had a lot more of the same. Which means more good times, more laughs, and more competitive play. But by the time we reached the final, Safe Word Tomahawk had taken the lead, with The Misfits right behind them. But this game always comes down to our final question and tonight was no exception. But sometimes, the team in the lead is also one of the few who answers the final correctly and when you combine that with a bold wager, well … you’ve got a champion.
