Touchdown - Survey Sez - 03/26/24

Last week at Touchdown we saw the return of our champs, Reel Wet as well as last week's top dogs Salt n Peppa. We were also joined by first time players from Crispy Bacon. Those guys were awesome with their funny answers and cheering heard around the bar. I think we all look forward to seeing them again soon.
In the absence of our usual trouble making jokesters, Reel Wet got us off to a good start with a hilarious answer to the on time bonus question. I do think that feeding chocolate covered espresso beans to kindergarteners ought to be illegal if it isn't already. For our super secret round 2 art bonus, I asked you all to draw an easter egg, and you did not disappoint.

Next week if you'd like to receive your super secret round 2 art bonus, draw a flower. (10 points for 2 or more colors  - 6 points for 1)
At the half time, our two top teams were very close in score with just a 9 point lead for Reel Wet. After all 6 rounds with a LOT of *socials, it all came down to the final question and by that point, Reel Wet still had the lead with just one point over Salt n Peppa. With those final questions so frequently stumping everybody, both top teams wagered conservatively with the battle for top spot coming down to the very end. Ultimately the decision to wager 0 points won the game for Reel Wet and re-established the team as the champions of Survey Sez at Touchdown. Indeed the boys are back in town.
As always, there's always room for more teams to come and join us on Tuesday night for a fun game of Survey Sez. Games are always free to play with prizes to win. ($40 top prize - $10 runner up prize) I look forward to seeing you all again next week.

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 11-18-25

Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time and that was certainly true this Tuesday. We had a solid 9 squads vying for our title and a great mix of regulars with some sharp new teams.  Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw a Ninja for your art bonus.   The first half kicked off with a solid round of laughs and a fair amount of points across the board. But nobody got off to a faster start then halftime leaders, 2000 and Late . As we moved through half number 2, the standings got shaken up a bit, but 2000 and Late only fell to 2 nd place behind Disorder .  Now with a group like this, you can usually bet somebody will nail the final and most teams will likely bet a hefty amount, but it doesn’t always play out that way. On a night like this, you might get one team correctly identifying the final question and that may be the only team who wagered 0 points. And in that case, you end up with…. well, Disorder! At the top as our new champions. ...

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 7/29/25

Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time and this one was one of the best!  We had 7 squads hanging out with us and everybody came ready to have some fun. Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw a dog  for your art bonus.   We got things kicked off with a highly competitive half of play. Every team had well over 50 points but our leaders, BoredOnATuesday and More Sass Than Class , were tied at the top. The second half was full of not only points, but big laughs. But the game was still as close as could be with our new leaders, The In and Out of Towners only holding a 1 point lead over BoredOnATuesday. This game of course came down to our final question . And in what may be a first, every squad nailed the question, which meant only the bold could claim our title… and that’s just who The In and Out of Towners are, which is why they’re our new champs!   The In and Out of Towners ($40) BoredOnATuesday ($10) Safe Word Tomahawk Lenn...

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 7/22/25

Tuesdays at Touchdown are an awesome time and this Tuesday was no exception.  We ended up with 9 teams joining us and fun was had by all.  Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw your favorite baseball player for your art bonus.   The first half of our game was fast and furious and full of points. Every squad except the one that joined a little late had at least 64 points. But our leaders were The Hamburglar , followed by Lenny’s Girl . The second half saw more of the same with squads lighting up the scoreboard. But no one could catch The Hamburglar heading into the final as they maintained their lead. However, our final question was not easily conquered, save by one team. We had many bold wagers, but not many right answers, so the standings got a very big shakeup.  In the end, we had a squad who got a late start make the one of the greatest comebacks that the world has ever seen. The Pumas came all the way back at the last moment to claim vic...
