Touchdown - Survey Sez - 03/26/24

Last week at Touchdown we saw the return of our champs, Reel Wet as well as last week's top dogs Salt n Peppa. We were also joined by first time players from Crispy Bacon. Those guys were awesome with their funny answers and cheering heard around the bar. I think we all look forward to seeing them again soon.
In the absence of our usual trouble making jokesters, Reel Wet got us off to a good start with a hilarious answer to the on time bonus question. I do think that feeding chocolate covered espresso beans to kindergarteners ought to be illegal if it isn't already. For our super secret round 2 art bonus, I asked you all to draw an easter egg, and you did not disappoint.

Next week if you'd like to receive your super secret round 2 art bonus, draw a flower. (10 points for 2 or more colors  - 6 points for 1)
At the half time, our two top teams were very close in score with just a 9 point lead for Reel Wet. After all 6 rounds with a LOT of *socials, it all came down to the final question and by that point, Reel Wet still had the lead with just one point over Salt n Peppa. With those final questions so frequently stumping everybody, both top teams wagered conservatively with the battle for top spot coming down to the very end. Ultimately the decision to wager 0 points won the game for Reel Wet and re-established the team as the champions of Survey Sez at Touchdown. Indeed the boys are back in town.
As always, there's always room for more teams to come and join us on Tuesday night for a fun game of Survey Sez. Games are always free to play with prizes to win. ($40 top prize - $10 runner up prize) I look forward to seeing you all again next week.

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 11-18-25

Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time and that was certainly true this Tuesday. We had a solid 9 squads vying for our title and a great mix of regulars with some sharp new teams.  Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw a Ninja for your art bonus.   The first half kicked off with a solid round of laughs and a fair amount of points across the board. But nobody got off to a faster start then halftime leaders, 2000 and Late . As we moved through half number 2, the standings got shaken up a bit, but 2000 and Late only fell to 2 nd place behind Disorder .  Now with a group like this, you can usually bet somebody will nail the final and most teams will likely bet a hefty amount, but it doesn’t always play out that way. On a night like this, you might get one team correctly identifying the final question and that may be the only team who wagered 0 points. And in that case, you end up with…. well, Disorder! At the top as our new champions. ...

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 3-24-26

What an awesome night of Survey Sez at Touchdown! We had a raucous bunch of competitors in the house and 11 teams all in all showed up to play. Next week ( following St. Patty’s Day which we are off for next Tuesday ), at round 2 question 1, draw your favorite college basketball logo, for your art bonus.   We kicked things off with some great answers and some even better laughs. Every team kept it super competitive and we reached the half with every squad at 56 points or higher. But our leaders at the break were The Drinking Buddies followed by The Terminated . The second half saw more of the same and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We went into the final with Dover & Out claiming the top spot. However, we had an action packed final question which saw many teams double up their scores. So the champions would have to be brave and daring to win tonight. And that is exactly what we got from our new champs… Dover & Out !   Dover ...

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 4-21-26

Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time and this one was no exception. We had a raucous crew and a nice mix of vets with some fresh faces. All in all, we had 8 teams on the docket, it felt like a packed house. Next week at round 2 question 1, draw a famous painting for your art bonus.   We kicked things off with some great answers and good laughs. We had plenty of points scored even though we had no socials in the first three rounds. Our leaders at the break were Blazed And Confused . The second half was even higher scoring and did see a social or two. But things were very close. So close that we had a tie for the lead going into the final between Safe Word Tomahawk and Team AJ. Of course, the final question had to play itself to find out who would claim victory. But sometimes, even that isn’t enough. Because our co-leaders both nailed the final and both risked it all, which meant we need a tiebreaker. So a random number between 1-100 had to be guessed. No ...
