Touchdown - Survey Sez - 7/30/24

We had a great Tuesday night at Touchdown in Dover last week. It was awesome to see some returning faces. Hopefully we keep seeing Safe Word Tomahawk and More Sass than Class. Tomahawk started us off with the best answer to the on time bonus question. It was a tough one to come up with a hilarious response, but theirs was about as good as it gets.
I challenged you guys in round 2's super secret art bonus to draw a baseball with 3 colors, and boy did you deliver. I have to post the best one. I might have to start giving extra points for the best one as judged by me of course.

Next week if you want to get those extra points in round 2, draw a beer bottle or wine glass, your choice. (10 points for 3 colors - 6 points for 1 or 2)
At the halftime, Salt n Peppa had a marginal lead in first place with Safe Word Tomahawk not far behind in second place. Almost everybody scooped up the extra points available for taking a picture of their team. The rest of the game flew by with some hilarious answers at the end of the game, and we wrapped it up with back to back socials.
At the end of the sixth round, Salt n Peppa had not just held onto their lead, but actually extended it. Safe Word Tomahawk still held onto second place, so as always it all came down to the final question and the teams' wagers.
Ultimately, Salt n Peppa wagered conservatively, while the other teams were forced to wager points and hope they got the final question right, but it was a tough one and nobody got it right. So congratulations to Salt n Peppa, who took home another win and the top prize. ($40 gift certificate to Touchdown) Safe Word Tomahawk took home second place and its prize. ($10 gift certificate to Touchdown)
I'm always so happy to see you all and thank you for coming out for another fun night of Survey Sez at Touchdown. I can't wait to see you all again next week.

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 11-18-25

Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time and that was certainly true this Tuesday. We had a solid 9 squads vying for our title and a great mix of regulars with some sharp new teams.  Next week, at round 2 question 1, draw a Ninja for your art bonus.   The first half kicked off with a solid round of laughs and a fair amount of points across the board. But nobody got off to a faster start then halftime leaders, 2000 and Late . As we moved through half number 2, the standings got shaken up a bit, but 2000 and Late only fell to 2 nd place behind Disorder .  Now with a group like this, you can usually bet somebody will nail the final and most teams will likely bet a hefty amount, but it doesn’t always play out that way. On a night like this, you might get one team correctly identifying the final question and that may be the only team who wagered 0 points. And in that case, you end up with…. well, Disorder! At the top as our new champions. ...

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 3-24-26

What an awesome night of Survey Sez at Touchdown! We had a raucous bunch of competitors in the house and 11 teams all in all showed up to play. Next week ( following St. Patty’s Day which we are off for next Tuesday ), at round 2 question 1, draw your favorite college basketball logo, for your art bonus.   We kicked things off with some great answers and some even better laughs. Every team kept it super competitive and we reached the half with every squad at 56 points or higher. But our leaders at the break were The Drinking Buddies followed by The Terminated . The second half saw more of the same and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We went into the final with Dover & Out claiming the top spot. However, we had an action packed final question which saw many teams double up their scores. So the champions would have to be brave and daring to win tonight. And that is exactly what we got from our new champs… Dover & Out !   Dover ...

Touchdown- Survey Sez- 4-21-26

Tuesdays at Touchdown are always a good time and this one was no exception. We had a raucous crew and a nice mix of vets with some fresh faces. All in all, we had 8 teams on the docket, it felt like a packed house. Next week at round 2 question 1, draw a famous painting for your art bonus.   We kicked things off with some great answers and good laughs. We had plenty of points scored even though we had no socials in the first three rounds. Our leaders at the break were Blazed And Confused . The second half was even higher scoring and did see a social or two. But things were very close. So close that we had a tie for the lead going into the final between Safe Word Tomahawk and Team AJ. Of course, the final question had to play itself to find out who would claim victory. But sometimes, even that isn’t enough. Because our co-leaders both nailed the final and both risked it all, which meant we need a tiebreaker. So a random number between 1-100 had to be guessed. No ...
